"SoulLover" is the lead single from my EP, 'Nuda Veritas.' I wrote this song in 2001 while living in Osaka, Japan, and drew inspiration for the sound from Bonnie Raitt and Joan Osborne. I also channeled a little Lenny Kravitz and Prince in composing the tune. When Montrose and I began recording 'Nuda Veritas' in 2006, it took on a life of its own.
